Vietnam is one of the upcoming regions in the golf world and is considered by many an undiscovered gem. There are over 35 wonderful golf courses in this country that offer an array of challenges.

Some of these championship level courses are designed by the best names in the business. Moreover, the list continues to grow as there are nearly 65 courses in the works right now. Here’s a list of the top 5 golf courses in Vietnam.

#1 The Dalat Palace Golf Club

This is, perhaps, the most well-known and recommended golf course in Vietnam. It was built in 1922, and is one of the oldest courses in the country. It has been consistently rated as one of the best golf courses and maintains a high level of excellence. The course sprawls over about 6,400 meters of land and will offer the full experience to all golf lovers.

In 1994, the entire course was redesigned, much to the appreciation of several golf professionals and enthusiasts. The course is located in Dalat in Central Vietnam. This region is about 90 minutes away from Hanoi and about 30 minutes away from Ho Chi Minh City by flight.

#2 The Danang Golf Club

The Danang Golf Club is particularly known for its Dunes Course. It’s located in Danang City in Central Vietnam and was designed by Greg Norman. The course was inspired by the Australian Moonah Course in The National and the Irish Doonberg course. The 18-hole course has won several accolades and is considered one of the best the country.

The course is particularly noted for its 16th par-3 hole that has the backdrop of a distractingly beautiful beach. If you want to play golf and enjoy some stunning scenery as well, this course is for you.

#3 The Montgomerie Links Golf Course

This course has some of the best topography amongst Vietnamese golf courses, and it’s almost all natural. It is a little away from both Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi in the Quang Nam Province, but it’s definitely worth a visit. This is the first 18-hole, full championship course to be built outside of those two, well-known cities.

Designed by Colin Montgonmerie in 2009, this course has several interesting challenges that would test even the seasoned professional. The link-style design is appreciated by several golfers and makes this club one of the most popular in the Central Coast Region.

#4 Sea Link Golf Course

Sea Links is located by the East Sea and sprawls over a land of 168 hectares. This course offers all-year-round golfing for all travellers and golfers. There’s abundant breeze and sun, and the temperature is pleasant. This course has hosted several international events that have garnered it much acclaim. The course was built by Ronald Fream in 2009. The design is universally recognized as challenging but not unreasonably so.

#5 Chi Linh Star Golf and Country Club

Designed by Independent Golf Course Services from Australia, Chi Linh Star Golf and Country Club is incredibly popular amongst the tourists. The course is located in a valley that boasts from tough challenges, natural water hazards, and great scenery.
