When you plan your corporate golf trip to Pattaya, you may also be wondering whether there are any other things to do there apart from golfing. Very frankly, you won’t be disappointed. Pattaya is a place with a lot to offer tourists as well as travellers. And so even if you are visiting the place primarily to play golf at its multitude of golf courses, there will be some time during your trip when you might want to do other things.
Things to Do on Your Trip
Pattaya has a lot to offer in terms of places of interest and things to do. You will find religious treasures, art, science, food, culture, entertainment and a lot more. Here is a list of things that you can do on your corporate golf trip:
This street is unique in every possible way. It’s located at the very end of Beach Road in Pattaya and covers 500 meters of fun. It’s off-limits for vehicles, post 18.00 hours and that’s where it derives its name from. At night you will find food vendors, thumping music and a variety of street performances here.
Sanctuary of Truth
This stunning religious, teak structure is arresting in every way. It symbolises the importance of religion, philosophy & art in Pattaya. What adds to its interest quotient is the fact that the wood is completely untreated and the structure is a superb demonstration of artistic skill and human endeavour.
Tiffany Cabaret Show
This show is held in the grand theatre that has an immense faux marble lobby. The performers wear dazzling costumes, skimpy polka-dot swimwear and elaborate headdresses. It’s no less than a treat for the senses and the light, sound and colours intermingled with the song and dance are sure to leave you spellbound.
Nong Nooch Tropical Garden
This tropical garden spans 2.4sq.kms, and has some of the most stunning landscaped areas and flowering plants. You will find very creative topiary displays, a re-creation of Stonehenge, tropical palms, cacti, bonsais and 17th-century-French-style gardens. The garden has in excess of 670 native & hybrid orchid species and has shows such as drumming, boxing and dancing.
Pattaya Floating Market
Popularly referred to as – “Four Regions Floating Market”, this development has 4 sub sections which represent the 4 major areas in Thailand – northeast, north, south and central. Here you will find stalls and shops that sell everything ranging from clothing, art, handicrafts and food to postcards. You will also find cultural demonstrations and shows.
Wat Phra Khao Yai
This is also called the “Big Buddha Hill”, and the name is certainly an appropriate one. This idol stands 18 meters high and is located almost 100meters above sea level. The Buddha watches all over the Jomtien Beaches and Pattaya. The hill it is positioned on separates these 2 places. This is an active temple and you will find a number of locals visiting this place to pray.
And a Lot More to Do…
Apart from these places, you can visit the Cartoon Network Amazone Waterpark that’s just a 20 mins drive from Pattaya Beach.
