Pattaya is known for its nightlife and people from different places across the world, and different walks of life come here for a spot of fun. But the city has far more than just a colourful nightlife to offer the enthusiastic traveller. If you have planned a corporate golfing trip to Pattaya, there will be times when you finish with your game and want to wander around; you’d want to look at what the city has to offer in terms of entertainment and places of tourist interest. Here, we list some of them:
#1 Buddha temple
Thailand is world renowned for its religious activities and has a number of beautiful sacred places that are well-maintained and a pleasure to visit. Buddha Hill is one of the city’s highest points; atop this hill stands a gold-coloured Buddha idol. Entry is free and it’s a great place to escape from the din of the city. The best mode of transport is the tuk-tuk and local public transportation is available as well.
#2 Galleries and museums
There are a number of interesting galleries and museums in Pattaya such as Ripley’s Moving Theater 4D, Ripley’s Believe it or Not, Art in Paradise, Ripley’s Haunted Adventure, Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks etc. These places have something for adults and children alike.
#3 Cabaret show
If you are in Pattaya, the Cabaret shows are a must visit. The most famous ones are Tiffany’s Cabaret and Alcazar Cabaret. These shows are almost always full and you should try to make your bookings in advance if you want good seats in the theatre. You will find that the sets are very well-decorated, the effects, lighting and sound are excellent. The dancers are skilled and the shows offer good entertainment.
#4 Elephant Trekking
Pattaya has a beautiful elephant village; it’s a safe haven for these majestic animals where they can live without fear. Visiting this place is a truly unique experience and the proceeds are used to feed and provide shelter to the elephants and to meet their medical expenses. The tour will take you around the village and you can see how these animals are fed, cared for, trained and worked.
#5 Pattaya Walking Street
Anyone who visits Pattaya must visit Walking Street. This place is well known for its night life. You can visit restaurants, go-go bars as well as beer bars. This isn’t the best place to visit with family and kids, but when you are on your corporate golfing trip, you should visit Walking Street even if it is just to see what it’s all about.
#6 Pattaya Floating Market
While there is no dearth for shopping opportunities and malls in Australia, it’s a completely unique experience to shop in Pattaya’s Floating Market. This market is actually built on a small lake. Locals sell a variety of goods from their boats such as foodstuff, clothing and footwear, novelties and various knick-knacks.
In addition to all these places, Pattaya also has a number of stunning beaches such as Jomtien Beach, Naklua and Wong Amat Beaches, Koh Lan Beach, Bang Sae Beach, Pattaya Beach and more. In short, there is no dearth of interesting things to see, places to visit and things to do, while you are in Pattaya.
