When on your golfing tour in Pattaya, you are sure to have some time when you aren’t on the greens. You are bound to visit most of the local tourist attractions during the day, but this city also has a very vibrant and colourful nightlife. As a matter of fact, many people visit the city specifically to revel in the innumerable bars and clubs that dot the city.
Most of the after-dark revelry is centred on Walking Street as well as the areas along Beach Road. However, there are a number of other areas across Pattaya, where you can find pockets of bars. Regardless of what the duration of your corporate golf trip is, it’s a must that you experience the thrills that Pattaya’s nightlife has to offer. You will find world class cuisine, live music venues and various cabaret shows. Here’s a peek into the nightlife in Pattaya:
Different Nightlife Areas
The nightlife scene in the city is segregated into some main areas and these are the ones we have mentioned below:
#1 Walking Street
This is the very core of the party scene in Pattaya; it stretches from Beach Road that lies to the north to the Bali Hai pier that’s situated in the south. This area becomes a no-traffic zone very evening post 6 pm till early morning. It’s a mile-long stretch that’s a haven for party goers. It is no less than a partyland that has world class nightclubs and restaurants. There are numerous live music venues, drinking bars and Go-Go bars too.
It’s true that Pattaya’s nightlife has developed and reputation for sleaze, but there really is a lot more to it than that. If you venture out into this area at night, you will find hoards of people descending here to enjoy the sights and sounds, the food, excellent live musical acts and talented street performers doing their thing. You will also find a number of tourists that are part of organised tours, wandering these streets and soaking up the lively and colourful atmosphere.
If you visit Walking Street in the evening, and feel you have looked around and plan to leave in a couple of hours, make it a point to linger a little longer. The party starts getting more interesting only post 10 pm. However, if you aren’t a party animal, prefer to avoid all the crowds and just want to see the street, early evening is a good time to visit the place.
However, if you want to get a real feel of the place and don’t mind letting yourself go and want to have some fun, plan to spend some more time here. You can walk into any of the clubs and bars and you will find the staff is proactive and friendly. Just don’t allow any of the locals that approach you on the street, to direct you where to go, as that can prove to be a rip-off.
#2 Beach Road
You will also find a number of Sois along Second Road and beach Road. Along the latter, you will find many Thai and international cuisine restaurants and most of these places are owned and operated by independent business owners. However, you can also patronise restaurants and bars that are part of large hotel properties such as Hard Rock and Marriott that are also present on this street.
Aside from these, the other popular places you can visit are the Soi Buakhao, LK Metro and Jomtien nightlife.
