6 Corporate Golf Trip Packing Tips

So, you’re finally setting off on that corporate golf trip that had been on the anvil for a long time. You are excited and looking forward to playing at some of the most sought-after golf courses in the world and you want to make the best of it. Since the tour operator will have planned everything, and all the nitty-grittys will be taken care of by them, all you have to do is show up at the airport, right?

Well, there are a few things you would have to take care of. As a golf traveller, if you don’t pack carefully, you might just end up having to face too many hassles and annoyances, which can make it very difficult for you to play your best. We have put together 6 golf trip packing tips for corporate travellers. These will help ensure your trip is filled with great memories:

Packing Tips for your Corporate Golf Trip

#1 Good quality travel cover is important

It’s crucial that you don’t try to save any money by buying any cheap travel cover. If you are carrying your precious golf clubs with you, make sure you carry them in sturdy travel cover. Look for a cover that looks different and one that has a striking colour.

This will save you a significant amount of time spotting your bag on the carousel at the airport. You can also use the travel cover to store an extra pair of shoes or shirts etc. Take care to place the business card or name tag on the inside as well as the outside of the bag; this will help in luggage identification in case the tag on the outside goes missing.

#2 Travel light

This is with reference to your golf bag weight. If you plan to carry your own clubs all the way to Pattaya, it’s a good idea to ensure you have a light bag. While the caddies at the golf courses are very hardworking and uncomplainingly carry your bags around while you play, it’s natural for them to gravitate to the lightest bags.

#3 The right clothing

You want to be comfortable when you are putting on the greens; and the one way to ensure that is to choose the right kind of clothing. Pack golfing attire made of microfiber material. These are made especially for golf travellers. Not only are they extremely confortable, but they dry quickly, are wrinkle-free and extremely lightweight and a must-have when you are travelling on a corporate golf trip.

#4 Pack a mud-stain remover

This is something you must pack if you don’t want to come back home with khakis or golf slacks that are completely mud-splotched.

#5 Golfing shoes

If you are planning on visiting Pattaya anytime between June to October, which is the monsoon season, it’s best to carry an extra pair of shoes (just in case you get caught in a downpour). The ideal situation would be to carry a minimum of 2 pairs of good quality waterproof golf shoes, if your corporate golf trip is going to last for 4 or more days.

#6 Healthy snacks

It’s a good idea to pack a few packs of peanut butter crackers, and some energy bars. This will act as healthy fortification when you are golfing.

As you can see, these are very basic packing tips, but ones that will ensure you have a more comfortable and hassle-free trip. While you will easily be able to procure the things you need at shops in Pattaya or even at the pro shops at the golf clubs when you are playing there, it’s best to pack all the things you need.
